Animagination Festival

Since 1992, Y.O.U. has provided an annual day of learning and exploration focusing on animation and the graphic arts. Industry professionals from all of the major animation studios, computer graphics companies, and related fields spend the day explaining what they do, sharing their career paths, and providing foster youth with the promise of an exciting and rewarding career in the visual arts through hard work and creativity.

Held on the 20th Century Fox Studios’ lot each year, Animagination also features a gallery showing of the student’s artwork. In addition to educating youth about state-of-the-art animation techniques, the thrill of their own art show is a long-lasting memory of the day.

Animagination is a free service of YOU. Over 3,500 teen-aged foster youth have attended, many of which have gone on to focus on art in choosing their career path.

The goal of Animagination is to motivate and inspire children to improve art skills, acquire information regarding career options in the arts and to initiate training paths to pursue careers as artists
